Radoslav Lorkovic's forty-year touring career has led him from the taverns of the upper Mississippi to Europe to Alaskan villages to Prairie Home Companion to Carnegie Hall. Rad has performed with Greg Brown and Bo Ramsey to an incredible collection of folk legends ranging from Odetta to Jimmy Lafave, Richard Shindell, Dave Moore, and Andy White. But it wasn't until 2002 that he encountered Lee Zimmerman, "the cellist I've been looking for.” From the instant they hit the stage, unrehearsed, the chemistry was there. The two appear as if they are at Avery Fischer Hall, yet the music wanders from cajun honkytonks smokey blues rooms to European palaces. The spontaneity is absolute- their music has a perpetual freshness deeply rooted in Americana with the soul of Eastern Europe, adorned by a touch of classical elegance. Rad, a native of Croatia, and Lee, a fourth-generation Montanan, will make this a night to remember! Suggested donation is $5-$10 for those who can.
